2021 U11 New members

We would like to welcome our new U11 players to Mavericks Netball Club for Season 2021.

Mavericks Netball Club is a community based netball club playing within the Sandringham District Netball Association.

We focus on quality coaching (our Head of Coaching is a former SDNA Representative Coach) as well as team and individual player development.

We like to provide Community connection for our Players, Coaches and their families in a harmonious, supportive environment.

2021 Wednesday Training Details for U11

Time – 4pm – 5pm 

Where – Thomas Street Netball Complex (Sandringham District Netball Association Venue)

Courts – 5 & 6 (Rear Courts – Entry via Gravel Car Park)

Training Structure – First half of training is focused on warm up & age appropriate skill development. Second half of training is focused on game practice, with encouragement and reinforcement of skills.

Note: In U11, all Players will develop awareness and have game day experience in all netball positions. This age group are still developing their skills so it is important that players are not pigeon holed into particular positions in this age group. This is also stipulated by the Sandringham District Netball Association guidelines.

2021 Thursday Night Game Details for U11

Due to limited court space at Sandringham District Netball Association, First Year U11s play on Thursday nights (Second Year U11s then move to Saturday mornings).

Time – Games commence at approximately 5:45pm or 6:30pm

Location – Thomas Street Netball Courts (same location as training – but different courts depending on the fixture).

Fees – Under $300 (Fees vary based on SDNA guidelines coming soon). Includes Victorian Netball Association Membership Insurance of $75, plus all Coaching and Games for the Winter Season (training starts mid February and the completes with a Round Robin in September).

Codes of Conduct – Mavericks Netball Club also prides ourselves on our Codes of Conduct, which means all Players, Parents, Coaches and Supporters conduct themselves in a positive, encouraging manner both on and off the court.

Umpiring – Our SDNA Umpires are great at assisting players with the many rules of netball. It is a wonderful supportive environment for Players to learn netball.

Netball Attire

Training – We encourage Players to wear black shorts and a hot pink or bright blue t-shirts (Mavericks colours). Some teams may choose to design a specific training t-shirt (please ask the Club for details).

Netball Runners at all times – Please wear specific netball runners so you have correct ankle support for training and games.

Mavericks Netball Dresses – We do think we have the most amazing dresses at SDNA! Dresses can be purchased for $65.

Mavericks Hoodies & Caps – We also offer hoodies in pink or black, as well as Mavericks black caps.
